Review:

For a generous helping of sunny warmth, gentle humor and truly expert musicianship, look no further than this charmer from children's music artists Andrew & Polly (Andrew Barkan and Polly Hall). They put their own creative stamp on four songs by other artists that round out the album-Bob Dylan's "Forever Young," George Harrison's "Here Comes the Sun," the theme song from the "Ghostbusters" film (by Ray Erskine Parker), and veteran folk artist Bill Staines' "Critters"-but highest marks go to the duo's wonderfully quirky original songs: "Fruitphabet" ("T" is for trampoline fruit," "U is for upside down fruit"), "Little Bitta You" ("Hey, kiddle…whatcha gonna do when the sun goes down/sail this moon right out of town"), the kooky "Grapes," "Mama Slow Down," "Please Be Mine," and "Two Little Birds" ("whistling about something and nothing and anything"), a sweet delight with ukulele and tuneful whistles.
