Review:

Wendy Morgan has been performing children's music for over a decade, and has been a singer/songwriter for over 20 years. Darryl Boggs has been making music professionally for over 30 years. He has worked in the private and public school systems, where he has taught band, choir and classroom music. This is their second duo album, and it contains a dozen delightful original tunes.

The good-natured bluegrass of the title track is blended with the underpinnings of the traditional "You are My Sunshine" for a polished and pleasing effect. Other highlights include the sweet ballad "Curiosity," the fiddle-fueled, two-stepper "Yes I Can," and the silly, sound-making "Pink Flamingo." Morgan sings all of the previous songs in an expressive tenor, while Boggs adds delicious harmonies; he gets to shine on his own, on songs such as the bluesey "It's OK Being You," "Walla Walla," and the rocking "I Love My Body." The album ends with two standouts; "Little Train," a fun story-song, and the gorgeous spiritual "Shine A Light," where the duo are joined by the uplifting voices of the McCracken Choir.

Upbeat, fun, and lighthearted learning combine with strong musicianship to convey the overall feeling of happiness to be singing and sharing these songs. The CD is housed in a nicely designed CD package, with complete lyrics and notes.
