Review:

Designed to introduce constancy in comprehension of numbers from 1 - 10, the goal is to group objects and number cards in similar values. First ask the child to find, count and place the correct number of colored dots in the empty circle spaces on the board. Reinforce those numbers by asking the child to find and place the same number of pegs into the tree images, match the corresponding numeral card and identify and place the equivalent pie chart card.

After gaining confidence by playing the game as designed, we asked children to write the numerals they learned in the game, count the number of classmates in their group, cut Play-Doh pies into fractions, and talked about into how many pieces their sandwiches were cut. Play, talk, eat. That's a fun way to learn.
