Review:

You couldn't ask for two cuter bugs - a firefly who wants to go to the moon, and a cricket who wants to play baseball. Throw in a charming old vole with his own riverboat, and a mini "giant" - 12-year-old Peter - and you have a great cast. But all four are a little bruised. Cricket and Firefly have run away because no one believes in their dreams. Peter has lost his best friend, and Vole is alone.

When they all find each other in a timely manner, readers are convinced there's nothing far-fetched about a boy having a cricket and firefly as best friends.

Firefly Hollow is a charming place, and the sweet illustrations plus sharp, sassy dialogue make for a fun read.
