Review:

Meet the Clangers, a charming family of crocheted alien creatures who live on a blue moon-like planet. They're imaginary of course and reminiscent of tiny pink elephants, or anteaters. No matter which species you assign, or invent, they're inquisitive, helpful, and kind.

In I Am the Eggbot a red egg rolls around the planet. Is it on a mission or is it lost? When the Clangers work together to help reunite the little egg with others of its kind, the "eggbots" reveal a surprising talent.

The stop motion animated Clangers speak only in high-pitched whistles, and the eggbots in one note tones. The narrator, William Shatner, brings the story to another dimension. Shatner's skillful performance is, dare we say, fetching? His pacing is perfect; his pauses and inflection make the narration a character unto itself. "Just because you're tiny, doesn't mean you can't do big things."

Inventive, charming, thoughtful and humorous. Bravo.
