Review:

OWL magazine is packed with great facts and articles from a range of STEM fields, all conveyed in a dynamic and student-friendly manner. One recent issue focuses on the science of Star Wars, which is sure to capture the interest of young readers (not to mention their parents), while others have an eco-focus (e.g., the decline of the steller sea lions in the wild, or saving the saiga antelope in Asia). An article on schools of the future might be particularly interesting to kids in that age group, and the annual Halloween issue dives into the creepy and mysterious side of the natural world. The magazine is loaded with non-fiction text features-abundant photos, captions, sidebars, diagrams, as well as fun games, crafts, comics, and brainteasers.
