Review:

The pages of author/illustrator Molly Idle's delightful picture book series have been transformed into the Flora and Friends Matching Game as a classic memory game.

Players ages 3+ (and their families and friends) turn the 36 cards picture face down and place them in a grid or rows. In turn, each player turns over two cards to reveal the pictures. If the two cards match, the player keeps the matching pair and takes another turn. If the pictures don't match, the player turns the cards back over and returns them to their place in the grid or row. Play continues until all cards are matched. The player with the best concentration and memory skills, aka the most matches, wins.

Our preschool testers, as young as three, were delighted to play this over and over. When matching grew tiresome, they used the cards to make up stories about Flora and her friends the flamingo, the peacock and the penguin. Our parent testers were equally delighted to add the three Flora books to their bedtime story repertoire.
