Review:

Rooted in folk music and given a warm communal sing-along feel, Northern California-based children's artists Melita and Isaac offer a mix of songs underscoring respect for nature and our place in it, as well as wishes for a peaceful world, and a celebration of Jewish heritage. Among the tracks: "Adama v' Shamayim (Earth and Sky"), a Pete Seeger folk anthem ("If I Had a Hammer"), Peter Yarrow's "Weave Me the Sunshine," the traditional "Peace Like a River/Sim Shalom," and Tom Chapin's "This Pretty Planet." "Connected" is the album's quiet highlight: "I'm a feather on the wing of an eagle that is soaring/You're a scale on a minnow that is swimming in the sea ... Everything is connected ... "
