HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: HOW TO FIGHT A DRAGON'S FURYFall 2016 Audio Book
This, the twelfth and final book in the wildly popular series by Cressida Cowell, winds things up in fine form with the brilliant narration of David Tennant, otherwise known in some circles as Dr. Who.
Tennant should narrate every audio book ever made, and tell every bedtime story, period. He could make a legal contract come alive. Here, he's working with the indomitable hero, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, and his breathtaking quest to end the War of Dragons and Men.
Hiccup has his work cut out for him, again, as he wakes up on the shore with amnesia. He doesn't know his own name, much less where he is or how he got there, and he has little time to figure any of it out before the obstacles start charging his path.
Cowell's colorful language pairs beautifully with Tennant's oratorical gifts, making this a riveting and engaging story. Listeners who are familiar with the series, or even the movie, don't need to be sold on this great finale. They don't even need the fabulous narration, but here they get both. And new arrivals to the series won't miss anything if this is their first listen. At even just over seven hours, the story doesn't drag.
Readers and listeners alike, will miss this series dearly.
