Review:

Everyone's favorite Tiger is back, but this time in an app geared towards parents. Daniel Tiger for Parents is a free app that presents over one hundred songs, videos, and learning tips focusing on social and emotional learning. There is no shortage of apps to teach reading, apps to teach math, apps to teach science, geography, pretty much anything you can think of. What is harder to find are apps that teach topics such as self-control, sharing, calming oneself down, helping others, and so forth. One of the things that is most valuable about the "Daniel Tiger" television series is that it does exactly that. And, it does it through engaging and heart-warming videos with learning strengthened by catchy, easy-to-remember songs. The Daniel Tiger for Parents app offers parents fast, easy, and searchable access to these videos and songs as well as talking tips and conversation starters. Parents and children can also take their own pictures and videos to attach to those in the app. While this is a fun feature, it also personalizes the learning, which is critical to making it stick. No surprise here, Daniel Tiger for Parents

will help facilitate parents teaching their children critical social and emotional skills in short, digestible, and easy-to-remember lessons.
