Review:

This twist on Bingo and Yahtzee is a dice game in which the object is to be the first player to fill in all 12 boxes in any of the five columns on the game sheet.

Players start by writing down the numbers 10, 20 30, 40 and 50, each number anywhere in one of the five columns on their sheets. Next, players take turns calling out any number from 1 to 100, then rolling the die that has six symbols—watermelon, ice cream cone, banana, etcetera, plus a lightning bolt that's a wild card. Each player then writes that number in that symbol's column on his or her score sheet. The numbers must be placed in ascending order from top to bottom, so either it fits or it doesn't, and if it doesn't, it's a wasted turn.

Players can look at opponents' sheets throughout the game to decide their strategy roll per roll.

While Qwingo involves some numerical skills, including ordering of numbers, and thinking ahead, this is a simple game with less of the strategy Yahtzee requires and more of the luck. And, yet, it's addictive in the same way Yahtzee keeps players coming back for more.
