The Open Road with Dr. Chris

The Open Road with Dr. Chris

Spring 2018 Television
Ages: 13 - 16 yrs.
Rating: TV G
Review:

Chris Brown of Dr. Chris, Pet Vet fame has branched out and hit the "open road." The amiable Australia veterinarian hosts this series featuring him as he randomly travels the world in search of … well, any good story.

That might be the island of Fiji, where Brown runs around barefoot taking part in a local feast, or Barrinton Tops, a breeding area for Tasmanian devils where Brown gets called in to help a sick animal, or Dublin, where Brown learns the art of Irish dancing.

The segments are random, but that's sometimes how life is on "the open road." Pop-up boxes with information help add an educational aspect to the show, which otherwise is almost like watching Dr. Chris' home videos of his favorite places on the planet.
