Zoboomafoo Series

Zoboomafoo Series

Spring 2000 Television
Ages: 2 - 6 yrs.
Producer: PBS
Review:
One of the most creative animal shows you'll ever watch, a large part of the credit goes to the hosts, Chris and Martin Kratt. The funny and silly brothers get "up close and personal" with each and every animal. Their sidekick, a leaping lemur (real shots are interspersed with a puppet) named Zoboo, jumps around providing any comic relief the brothers miss, and visits a clamation land with his Zoboomafoosaurus. In between all that is a lot of information about whatever animal it is they're tracking. For example, in the horse episode, they go eye to eye with a big Belgian and point out that its eye is bigger than an elephant's. They even look at the horse's teeth. It's a full examination, with lots of details. But they don't forget to make it fun by riding some horses that throw them both in the water. Expect to learn something and enjoy it along the way.
