Review:
Time flies when you’re having fun! And in this darling storybook/calendar-maker, it flies first class. The classic old tune “Over the river and through the woods,” is sung in 12 different styles and arrangements, each with a colorful visual backdrop representing one of the months of the year. Click on the animated critters in the pretty monthly scenes to see them perform and tell tidbits about animal life, the seasons, and the months. Click words that appear to hear pronunciations and definitions. Other classic and catchy original ditties fill out the audios in this lively little program from a small but innovative software maker. Besides learning the months, weeks, and days, children can put them to good use in the Create-A-Calendar activity where they lay out a monthly calendar especially for kids and mark important dates with electronic reminder stickers.
