Review:
The what-ifs are overwhelmingly weird in this take-off of The Disney Channel’s TV show of the same name. Overactive imaginations get a workout as players explore bizarre dream worlds and confront nerdy little Ned’s worst fears. What do you do when your parents turn into zombies? Or when the school nurse gets too aggressive with her thermometer? Or the bathroom’s infested with rats? Demented dentists? Dancing ghosts? Toilet paper gone wrong? Go figure. Hidden passageways, mind-wrenching puzzles, and creepy creatures test kids’ problem-solving skills and courage throughout. An original Muzak-like soundtrack tests their tolerance. But top-notch animation and frighteningly fun monsters make this a safe enough place for kids to exorcise some of their own demons—under the pretense of helping Ned with his.
