Review:
Music Workshop for Kids members Mary Jane Alm, Pat Frederick, Kathy Mueller, Mark Mueller, and Scott "Scooter" Nelson are joined by the noted sax, flute, trombone and trumpet players known collectively as the Hornheads and the result is a playful, sunny, sweet treat for parents and children alike.

In this mix of original songs and jazzed up familiar children's songs, jelly beans last for hours and bumblebees offer flight service in a world where everyone is "An Inch Tall." A free-spirited "Cranberry Red Balloon" finds joy in the chase, not captivity; and there are few more peaceful ways to say goodnight than to board a "Ship of Dreams" and gently sail "over the edge of another day...where dreams and imagination fill your sail."

Such familiar staples as "This Little Light of Mine" and "Pop Goes the Weasel" get jazzy makeovers, and, in one unusual, beautiful track, great dads get their due in "My Dad (and Me)," a narrative movingly spoken by a child, with evocative instrumental accompaniment.
