Review:
A known commodity, Bear in the Big Blue House is already a popular TV show featuring lovable, comforting Bear in a big blue, well, you can figure that out. Three of the best episodes are packed into this DVD's 75 minutes, making it a great addition to any young child's video library. If your toddler is struggling with potty training, those fears and questions are addressed in "When You've Got To Go." Ojo, the little bear cub, wonders what to do out in public when he has to go to the bathroom. Bear solves that problem: Just ask a grown up where is the bathroom and that way the adults will know you have to go. The second episode is a lesson in not giving up. Practice may not make perfect, but you've got to do it to get better at anything. The third episode is a good naptime program because everyone in the house snuggles into sleeping bags in the living room while Bear tells a story. The graphics are colorful, the sing-along songs are jolly and not annoying, and the stories contain good lessons learned through the situations of the fuzzy, appealing characters. And, of course, don't forget Luna, the soothing, wise moon who closes every show and leaves you feeling as though everything will be all right.
