Our longtime and stalwart Toy Editor, Ruth B. Roufberg, wrote of this game in 1992, “Play Borderline USA and take a meandering tour of the country. Each card in the deck pictures a state or body of water on one side; on the other is a map of ‘Side One’ that includes bordering areas. Children, in turn, play a state card that shares a borderline with the previously played card. The first person to get rid of all cards wins.” With Ms. Roufberg’s added comment “this is one of the three best geography games ever invented”; our judges have not been stopped at the border. This card game is a Classic.
