Review:
Any child who has ever had a beloved stuffed toy will take Louie, a small boy, and Rosie, his plush red goose to his (or her) heart instantly. "Louie's goose went everywhere," so it isn't surprising when she begins to show the signs of wear. Mommy fixes her wobbling bill and patches a hole in her side. Even Daddy gets into the act by reattaching one of her webbed feet with strong thread. But when Rosie gets carried off by a large wave at the beach, it looks like it may be curtains for the tattered red goose. Not on your life. Rosie at last washes up on the sand, and Louie rescues her. He sings her a lullaby and lays her gently on a blanket to rest. This time, the hot sun gets into the act, and the sodden Rosie is once again restored. It's hard to imagine a small listener not responding to the red goose's charms.
